PLAY WITH WATER BEADS

PlaytimeWith Water Beads
Sure water beads are great for plants and flowers and home decor, but did you know that because they are colorful, safe and non toxic they can also be used to create a therapeutic, calming and educational play experience for children.
Make a sensory tub
Fill a plastic container half full of water beads and add small toys and objects of different colors and textures. Things for scooping and filling and even glow sticks. You will be amazed at what they will discover.
Dump the dirty sand
If you want to go large scale use water beads to make a "sand"box. Cut some drain holes in a small pool and fill it about half to two thirds full of hydrated water beads (ask me about getting larger quantities) and add the usual sandbox goodies. When playtime is over simply hose off beads and let the excess water drain off.
Kids just love the feel and look of water beads and if given the opportunity can come up with a million ways to play with them, they’re not just for flowers anymore.
